So a while back Jerusha and her friend (Kyle) downstairs from us (who happens to be married to a guy named Spencer, who I happen to go to school with) decided that they needed some alone time to clean their homes, which I guess is hard to do with the girls around. Spencer and Kyle have two little girls also. So Spence and I took the kids to Micky D's and then to the zoo while the wives did some deep cleaning. They had a great time checking out the different animals and running up and down the little paved walkways around the different animals. The girls especially liked the bears and the cougars. Here are the pics.

The Zoo Trip
We're going back to Cali!
Hey all, we're headed back to California tomorrow, and we'll be there for a week. So if you are in town stop on by. As much as I hate flying with the girls it's hard to not be excited about going back when the girls get all giddy about seeing their grandmas.
On another note, we took the girls to Hull Beach last Saturday and had a great time chasing seagulls, kicking the waves (karate kid style), and knocking down other people's sand castles (this was mostly done by Isabelle). Sadly I only snapped this one photo of the girls eating lunch, before the seagulls ransacked our stuff.

Back on the Blog
Hey it's been a while. This last semester of school was really a nasty one, so I haven't had a whole lot of time to post anything. Well, here we go again.
So far this summer we haven't really done too much due to the fact that we are #1 broke, and #2 I was still finishing up my second year of school until July 30th. We did get a chance to take the girls to the frog pond down in the common. Here are a few shots of thatThey have also been swimming quite a few times at our local pool, these are some shots of them at a birthday party for one of their friends.Jerusha and I had a nice break the other day when a lady in the ward offered to watch the girls for a day and let us hang out with our friends Dustin and Jamie. We went to the public gardens for a bit, played some tennis, and ended the day with a walk on a really cool beach we'd never been to.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Hey all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! This year we did something new and went with our downstairs neighbors (Chris, Kelly and Molly) to the New Years firework celebration in the common. The city puts on an early show at 7:30pm for people with families, so we were able to get the kids back home and in bed at a decent hour. Kelly and Chris had been there before and were able to pick out a great spot for viewing the display. We also tried to look at some of the ice sculptures on display, but ended up having to leave early cause Isabelle wouldn't keep her mittens on.
Here are some photos and video of the event. The kids loved it.

The Nutcracker
Jerusha was really great this Christmas about making it special for the girls. While I was busy with finals and she was sick she somehow found the time to do Joy School, take the girls to the Nutcracker, put up and decorate a tree, and do countless other things like helping Amelia make her Christmas wish list.
If you were wondering, she wanted a ducky, two picture frames in the shape of a heart, a piggy bank, a crocadile, a princess Aurora doll, and a turtle. She got everything but the turtle, and if anyone knows where you can get one cheap let me know.
Here are some pictures of the Joy School girls at the Nutcracker.
Pre-Christmas fun
Here are some pictures of the Amelia and Isabelle at their Joy School Christmas Program. It was really great. Amelia was able to show off some of her moves she's been learning in her dance class, and she played the angel in the nativity reenactment. Isabelle played a very surly inn keeper; when she says, "NO ROOM!", she means it.

Halloween
Millie decided she wanted to be a crocodile for Halloween, but the closest we could come to that was a dragon. She spent a lot of time while tricker treating correcting people who called her a dragon, until on of the ladies in our ward told her she was the cutest dragon she's ever seen. After this comment was made I waited for Amelia to correct her, but Millie just thought for a minute and then said, "Yeah I am a dragon. See because I have wings."
Isabelle was Tinkerbell. A very cold Tinkerbell by the end of the night.
Here are some pictures of the girls at Joy School in our house.
